Marine veteran Robert Paul Kuebler, 82, passed away November 2, 2017 at home in Simpsonville, South Carolina with family.

He was born December 31, 1934 in Adrian, Michigan. He was a son of the late Jeanette Richards and the late Ernie Kuebler.

He was a graduate of Ypsilanti High School, Ypsilanti, Michigan class of 1953. He was also a graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a bachelor of science in education and a masters in special education. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War. He retired from Garden City Public Schools after 30 years of teaching special education. He also coached middle school girls track and volleyball. After retirement, he moved to Simpsonville, South Carolina. He was an avid golfer, hiker, and world traveler.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Gwen Goodwin Kuebler. Daughters; Leann Kuebler, Julie Kuebler, Jane Kuebler; son, Todd Kuebler; step-son Zea Miller andGreg Burch; step-daughter, Karen Reilly; sisters, Suzanne Prince, Shirley Clumpp, Marilyn Marion; brother, Fred (Butch) Kuebler; grandchildren, Nicky Kuebler, Corey Papineau, Megan Jarvis, Sara Simpson, Corina Reilly, Allison Reilly, and Jimmy Reilly; and great-grandchildren, Timothy Joseph Papineau, Rosalie Simpson, and Jack Jarvis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Timothy Kuebler and his brother Jack Kuebler.

A funeral service, with military honors will be held on Tuesday, November 7th at 1PM at M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery, 140 Inway Dr, Anderson, SC 29621.

The family will have a time of fellowship after the service at the home.

The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
