John James Aiken, 81, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Sunday May 11, 2014 at his home.
Born on September 29, 1932 in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late James Monroe and Thelma Snipes Aiken. He was also a US Army Veteran and a Purple Heart recipient.
He is survived by his sons: Steve, Mike and John Greg Aiken; Brother: Charles Aiken; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; as well as his loving caregiver: Ladelle Rogers; and his pets: Patsy, Nick and Pretty Bird.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter: Beverly Aiken; Brothers: Ray and Melvin Aiken; Sister: Mildred King; and his former wife: Marie Aiken.
A memorial service will be held at 11a.m. on Saturday May 17, 2014 at his home.

The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory will be assisting the family with the arrangements.
