Joseph E. Chitty, 67, of Anderson SC, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Iva Post Acute.
Born in Bamburg, SC, on October 10, 1957, he was the son of the late Joseph and Eugenia Hall Chitty. Joseph liked to fish, loved to drive in the demolition derby, he always worked with his hands, never met a stranger, never had a known enemy and loved children.
He is survived by his brother: William Chitty (Melinda).
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers: Billy Joe Chitty and Julius Chitty and his sisters: Rose Marie Chitty and Windy Chitty.
A funeral service will be held at Sosebee Mortuary on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 12pm with Pastor David Neal officiating.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at the Mortuary on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 10am to 12pm.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
