Donna Bobo Alewine “MeMar”, 63, of Anderson SC, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Callie and John Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Anderson, SC on May 9, 1962, she is the daughter of the late Jack Bobo, Jeanette Waldrop and her stepfather who was like a father to her: Tony Waldrop. She was the wife to the late Dennis Lemar Alewine.
Donna loved Covenant Baptist Church, adored her family, especially her grandkids who called her MeMar, and was a dedicated Carolina Panthers fan. She was the sweetest lady you’d ever meet, she loved Jesus and wanted all to know of Him.
She is survived by her best friends and daughters: Linda Berg (Brandon) and Taylor Alewine (A.J. Couey); brother: Chris Bobo; grandchildren: Phoenix Berg and Savannah Berg;
In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her grandparents: Mac and Ruth Bobo; Harold and Ann Mae Lollis.
A memorial service will be held at 6pm on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Covenant Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Silvey officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family asks to please consider donating to the Samaritan’s Purse, Calvary Home for Children in Anderson, SC or the Ronald McDonald House.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
