Floyd Eugene “Gene” Landers, 85, of Anderson SC, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026, at AnMed Medical Center.
Born in Adel, Georgia on July 16, 1940, he was the son of the late Floyd Landers and Myrtice Tomlinson Landers. Gene retired with Bell South after 35 years as a service technician and was a Military Policeman in the US Air Force from 1958-1962.
He is survived by his wife: Martha Taylor; children: Robert Landers, Janet Jordan (Danny) and John Taylor; sister: Janice Melody Landers, 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his children: Carol Cartee, Susan Landers and Julie Landers.
A remembrance of life will be announced at a later date.
The family is at their respective homes.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
