Michael Wayne Rutherford, 69, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at his residence.
Michael was born in Woodstock, VA, on August 10, 1956, to the late Robert Lynard Rutherford and Josyphine Campbell. He graduated from Handley High School in 1974. Michael served in the US Army from 1975 to 1977, later joining the Army Reserves, and worked with Fleetwood Travel.
He is survived by his wife: Janice Turner Cline, daughters: Christy Grim (Ralph), Summer and Hartley (Travis); sister: Denise Elsea; grandchildren: Cory Trivett, Kadence Grim, Trey Grim, and Ayden Trivett; great-grandchildren: Willow Berkey and Carter Trivett.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers: Robert Lynard Rutherford Jr and Mark Gatewood Rutherford.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
