Melody Hamilton, 62, of Belton SC, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022, at her home.
Born in Chester, VA, on September 16, 1960, she was the daughter of the late James and LouAnice Bagby and the wife to Brent Hamilton. She graduated from VCU in 1982, retired in 2016 from Diagnostic Radiology and worked with multiple greyhound rescue groups. Known as Melmaw by her grandchildren, she was passionate about dogs and had a beautiful laugh.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son: Alex Sibley; daughter: Kelly Hill; brother: Edward Bagby; grandchildren: Natalie Bunting, Landon Hill, Liam Sibley and Grayson Hill; son-in-law: William Hill and daughter-in-law: Samantha Sibley.
Private family services will be held.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
