James Floyd Scarboro, 96, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Richard Campbell Veteran’s Nursing Home.
Born on December 20, 1918, he was the son of the late William Lonnie and Agnes Booth Scarboro and husband to the late Sallie Sue Whitworth Scarboro. He was a Veteran of the US Army, a member of the First Baptist Church of Anderson, SC and the owner of Scarboro Motor Company.
He is survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents and spouse, he is preceded in death by a daughter: Kathy S. Scarboro and 2 sisters.
Graveside services will be held at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery on Friday, April 3, 2015 at 11:00am and will be officiated by Dr. James R Thomason.
Memorials can be made in Floyd’s name to the First Baptist Church of Anderson, SC, 307 S. Manning St, Anderson, SC or to the Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd, Anderson, SC 29621.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory Downtown Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
