Otis Paul Fortson, 80, of 128 Meadowood Drive Anderson SC, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Born in Elberton, Ga, he was the son of the late Paul Estes and Mary Pope Moore Fortson. He was the spouse to Martha B. Fortson for 58yrs, retired from BASF, is a member of New Prospect Baptist Church and a member of Steward Sunday School Class.
In addition to his spouse, he is survived by son: Stan Fortson(Peggy) of Jackson Georgia; daughter: Paula Baker(David) of Hartwell Georgia; brother: Normal Fortson(Evelyn) of Charlotte NC; sister: Martha Anderson of Greenwood SC, 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews, 2 sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law.
A memorial service will be held at 11am, Saturday April 11, 2015 at the New Prospect Baptist Church in Anderson, SC. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel will be assisting the family with the arrangements.
