Sandra Shaw Rainey, 62, of Starr, SC, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at her residence.
Born on September 11, 1963, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of Wilma Freeman Shaw and the late Curtis Lee Shaw. She was married to Tim Rainey.
Sandra was very loving and loved by all that knew her. With her big personality, she was the defender of her family. She loved her farm and all animals, especially her dog, Poo-Poo, her horses and cows. As a frequent prisoner of Facebook jail, she enjoyed family gatherings and loved listening to her son play the banjo. She loved shopping and was a huge movie buff.
In addition to her mother, Wilma and her husband, Tim, of 35 years; she is also survived by her children: Calen Rainey (Abigail), Jessica Tergeoglou (Nicolas), and Magen Rainey; sister, Lydia Sutherland; grandchildren: Raven Duckett, Sterling Rainey, and Landon Moore; as well as her nieces and nephews who were loved as her own children.
In addition to her father, she is also predeceased by a son, Braden Curtis Rainey.
Services will be held at Ruhama United Methodist Church on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 4pm officiated by Pastor John Davis. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday at the church from 2pm – 4pm.
