Tammie Ayers, 61, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at her residence.
Born in Erwin, TN on July 3, 1964, she was the daughter of Gwendolyn Angel Gilstrap and the late Lester Hollifield. She was married to the late Harrison G. Ayers. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Temple.
Tammie was a former teachers aid at Starr Elementary, teaching sign language, and past president of the Starr PTO. She loved thrift stores and anything on clearance, whether she needed it or not. Her favorite purchases were anything with monkeys on it. She loved coloring and traveling. She never wanted to stay in one place too long and was often at the beach and the mountains.
She enjoyed playing in the snow, but her favorite time of year was a white Christmas. She loved decorating and cooking for the holidays. Tammie adored her children and grandchildren and spent time with them whenever she could. She was a wonderful mother and will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
In addition to her mother, she is also survived by her children: Miranda Logwood (Darren), Samatha Ayers, and Dallas Ayers; daughter at heart, Melodi Kim; son at heart, Trey Campbell; brothers: Wayne Hollifield (Shannon) and Larry Hollifield (Jackie) and sister, Pamela Hollifield; grandchildren: Tristan Edens (Jessi), Bailey Crowe, Mason Ayers, Allyson Motes, Bentley Motes, and Faith Turner; and great grandchild, Jubilee Edens.
Private services will be held.
The family will be at the home of the daughter, Samantha Ayers.
Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family.
