Walter Larry Ashley Jr “Junebug/Brother,” passed away on Tuesday October 21, 2025.
Born on January 19, 1960, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Walter Larry Ashley Sr and Betty Marie Ables.
He is survived by his Soul Mate: Sonya Lindley, of the home; Daughters: Tephanie Ashley (Brian) and Josi Rae Ashley, of Honea Path, SC; Stepdaughters: Jessica Stewart, Samantha Vaughn and Tabitha Lollis; Sisters: Kathy Griffith (Mike) and Angie Latimer (Lamar); Special Aunts: JoAnn McAlister and Wilma Tumblin; as well as 17 Grandchildren;11 Great-Grandchildren and his special fur baby J.W. (John Wayne) Ashley, his beloved Yorkie.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a Grandson: Mikee’ Smith III.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30pm on Monday October 27, 2025, at Bethany Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11am to 12:30pm at the church, prior to the service.
The family will be at the home of the daughter, Josi Rae Ashley at 11 N. Anderson St, Honea Path SC 29654.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
