Sandra Myra Culbertson Compton, 86, of Anderson SC, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at AnMed Medical Center.
Born in Pickens, SC on April 28, 1939, she was the daughter of the late John and Una Williams McGuire; she is twice widowed, first by the late Daniel Young Culbertson, then by the late Sidney Edgar Compton. She was a devoted member of Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holliness Church, a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a great great grandmother, who was always kind to her animals and generous to every person she met.
She is survived by her children: William Rowland Culbertson, Sidney Jerome Compton (Amanda) and Cynthia Renae Compton Bryant; 14 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and spouses, she is predeceased by her children: Daniel J. Culbertson, Llionel Barrington Culbertson, Reesa Marie Culbertson and Michael Shannon Culbertson; brothers: Ronald Mitchell McGuire, Randolph Paris McGuire and Richard Rowland McGuire.
A funeral service will take place at Sosebee Mortuary at 1pm on Thursday, November 20, 2025, with Pastor Brent Lollis officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will take place prior to the service on Thursday, November 9, 2025, from 11am to 1pm at the Mortuary.
The family will be at their respective homes.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory, 3219 S Main St, Anderson SC, 29624, is assisting the family with arrangements.
