James “Jim Bob” Bobb, 77, currently of Laurens, formally of Rock Hill, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Richard Campbell VA Nursing Center.
Born on October 8, 1948, in Newberry, SC; he was the son of the late Ira Lee and Beatrice Bobb and was the husband to Judy Hilton Bobb. He was a Veteran of the US Navy having served in Vietnam.
Jim Bob and Judy were avid motorcycle enthusiasts. He was a member of Rolling Thunder as well as a founding member of both American Legion Riders and the VFW Riders of Rock Hill.
In addition to his wife Judy, he is survived by his daughter: Sheila Tinsley (Tony); brother: Gerald Bobb; many grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a stepson: Tommy and a sister: Shirley Roe.
A memorial service will be held at Gethsemane Baptist Temple on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 2pm with Pastor Rick Hilton and Pastor Sam Duncan officiating. A inurnment will be held at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at the church on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 1pm to 2pm.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
