Amber Marie Shaw Hudson, 41, of Starr, SC, passed away on January 17, 2026, at her residence.
Born in Abbeville, SC on December 4, 1984; she was the daughter of Joe and Laura Brock Shaw and married to John Dustin Hudson for 20 years. Amber was a 2004 graduate of Crescent High School, and a proud member of Gethsemane Baptist Temple. She enjoyed working at EZ On Auto Tops and the friends she had made there. Amber was witty and did not mind telling you how it was. She was kind to everyone. While her children were her greatest joy in life, she also loved her dogs, cats, sugar skulls, and Halloween time.
Amber was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend and will be deeply missed. In addition to her parents and husband, she is also survived by her children: Logan Shaw (Shanie), Corey Hudson, and Tyler Hudson; brother, JoJo Shaw (Audrey); sisters: Amanda Hudson (Luke) and Heather ‘Chris’ Shaw (Christopher); and grandson, Lawsyn Shaw.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Gethsemane Baptist Temple officiated by Pastor Sam Duncan. Burial will follow at Iva City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at Gethsemane on Tuesday from 11am to 1pm.
The family will be at their respective homes.
