Sergeant Marion Ray Allen, US Army, Retired, 63, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Monday January 19, 2026, at the Callie and John Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Anderson, SC, on December 10, 1962, he was the son of the late Billy Ray Allen and Joyce Allen Saylors. Marion was a Retired Sergeant of the US Army and married to his wife of 37 years, Angie Allen. Marion loved his family and was dearly loved by them in return.
In addition to his wife Angie, he is survived by his Sons: James Marion Allen, Andrew Lee Allen, and Jeremy Paul Allen; Sister: Susan Prescott (Barry); Nieces and Nephews: Kristi Prescott, Kayla Prescott, Hannah Lewis, Erin Gaines, and Jake Fleming; Great-niece and nephew: Karlie White and Taylor Barnett; as well as nine Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Sosebee Mortuary Chapel and will be officiated by Rev. Sam Duncan. Interment will follow the service at the MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery with Army Honors.
The family will receive friends from 12pm to 1pm, prior to the service, Wednesday at the mortuary.
