Linda Lillian Pollard, 79, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at her residence.
Born on October 26, 1946, in Honea Path, SC, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Clyde Poore and Lillian Taylor Neal. She was married to the late Larry Donald Pollard for 55 years.
Linda was an excellent cook who had an eye for collecting dishes, pens, and pocketbooks. She had a giving heart, gentle smile and a special kindness about her. Linda, when health permitted, attended Gethsemane Baptist Temple, and never missed a televised service when she could not attend in person.
She loved her children and grandchildren and will be deeply missed, she is survived by her children: Curtis Allen Pollard (Gemma) and Tosha Alicia Ellenburg (David); siblings: Jerry Poore and Jean Smith; grandchildren: Jacob Ellenburg, Tyler Pollard, Micah Ellenburg, Isabella Ashworth, and Devin Ashworth.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is also predeceased by a brother, Lewis Poore.
Services will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 2:30pm officiated by Pastor Sam Duncan at Sosebee Mortuary. A private burial will take place at New Silverbrook Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Mortuary on Tuesday prior to the service from 1pm -230pm.
Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
