Anna Mae Hadlock, 96, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 6, 2026, in Anderson, SC. She was born in Ashtabula, OH, on October 24, 1929, to Clark and Louise Leasure. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard. She is survived by her son, Bill (Pat) Richards of Salem, VA; and daughters Kathy (Ron) Kincaid, Pam Hadlock, Cindy Hadlock, and Dot (Chuck) Fetters all of Anderson, SC; as well as five grandchildren Aaron (Katherine) Kincaid of Anderson, SC, Bill (Lara) Richards of Salem, VA; Chris Richards of Cleveland, OH, Brian (Morgan) Fetters of Belton, SC, and Rebecca Fetters of Dallas, TX and three great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Kincaid, Shelby Richards, and McKinlee Fetters.
Anna Mae worked at Montgomery Wards, Ashtabula Hide and Leather Company and was an election worker. She spent much of her life caring for her family and home. She may not have done a whole lot outside the home, but her kindness and thoughtfulness meant more than she probably ever knew. We will miss her quiet presence, her sweet spirit, and the love she showed in her own way. She will always be a part of our hearts and memories.
She never had a driver’s license but was always ready to go when someone said, “Let’s go shopping!”
There will be a Celebration of Life drop-in on October 3, 2026, from 1 to 4 p.m.at the Hadlock residence. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Hospice of the Upstate (HospiceoftheUpstate.com).
