Wanda Louise McConnell, 59, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born in Washington, GA, on May 7, 1967; she was the daughter of the late Horace Wayne and Margie Louise Norwood Goldman. Wanda was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to read and was known to start and finish a book in a day’s time. She loved flowers and gardening. She was said to have a heart of gold and wasn’t afraid to speak her mind or defend someone.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Anthony McConnell; children: Brandy Louise McConnell (Gregory Hardin) and Victoria McConnell Pennington (Andrew); brother David Wayne Goldman (Denise); grandchildren: Zachery Lee Hardin and Natalie Paige Hardin; and uncle, Earl Norwood.
The family will be at their respective homes and will hold private services at a later date.
Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.

She really lived out that verse in Philippians about being content with a little or a lot and trusting God to give her the strength to get through whatever came her way. No matter what she had, she was always willing to help somebody. That was just who she was.
I’m thankful she’s no longer in pain and can finally rest in peace with our Lord. Praying God gives y’all comfort and strength. ❤️ Wanda will truly be missed.
