Wanda Louise McConnell, 59, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born in Washington, GA, on May 7, 1967; she was the daughter of the late Horace Wayne and Margie Louise Norwood Goldman. Wanda was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to read and was known to start and finish a book in a day’s time. She loved flowers and gardening. She was said to have a heart of gold and wasn’t afraid to speak her mind or defend someone.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Anthony McConnell; children: Brandy Louise McConnell (Gregory Hardin) and Victoria McConnell Pennington (Andrew); brother David Wayne Goldman (Denise); grandchildren: Zachery Lee and Natalie Paige Hardin; and uncle, Earl Norwood.
The family will be at their respective homes and will hold private services at a later date.
