Alma J. Martin December 12, 1946 - May 11, 2023

Alma J. Martin, 76, of Anderson SC, peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 11th, 2023.

Born on December 12th, 1946, in Anderson SC, she was the daughter of the late Sarah Elizabeth and Robert Townes Ferguson. Alma was a strong woman with a heart of gold, who never met a stranger. She will be remembered by her sense of humor, perseverance, laughter, and curiosity. She will be missed greatly by all of her family and friends.

Alma is survived by her two children: daughter, Angie Wharton and son, Chris Medlin (Brandy); her grandchildren: Tensleigh Thomas, Brynleigh Wharton, Peyton Wharton and Lane Medlin; her siblings: Cathy Stewart and Clarence Ferguson; as well as Breanna Corpus (and family), a number of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Alma will be reunited again with her late husband of 26 years, Keith Martin, and she is also predeceased by her siblings, Dennis, Cynthia, Harold, Benny, Mary and Robert.

Services will be held at Sosebee Mortuary, South Chapel, on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 3pm.  Burial will be held at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 10am

Visitation will be held prior to the service on Saturday at the mortuary from 2pm-3pm.

The family will be at their respective homes.
