Alvin Merrill Whitmire, 86, of Belton, SC, passed away on Tuesday November 12, 2024.
Born on January 14, 1938, he was the son of the late Irene and Marvin Whitmire of Clinton, SC. Alvin was also a 10-year Veteran of the US Army National Guard.
He is survived by his Wife: Anita C. Whitmire; Children: Michael Whitmire (Cindy) of Clinton, SC, Sonya Tschappat (Jim) of Laurens, SC, and Brandon Whitmire of Mexico City, Mexico; Grandsons: Justin Whitmire and Austin Brewington; and Great-grandson: Carter Brewington.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Alvin’s name to Rainey Hospice House, 1835 Rogers Rd, Anderson, SC, 29621.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
