Amelia “Amy” DeWease Scruggs, 70, of Anderson SC, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024.
Born in Anderson SC, on August 13, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Barney E. DeWease and Maxine Brown DeWease. Amy loved arts and crafts as well as spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband: Paul Ray Scruggs, sons: Jason Scruggs (Rosalynn) and Jeffrey Scruggs (Jennifer); brothers: David DeWease (Margaret Ann) and Phillip DeWease (Teresa); grandchildren: Maddison Scruggs, Makayla Scruggs, Lorrie Scruggs, Daniel Scruggs, and Jocelynn Scruggs, as well as her granddaughter at heart: Courtnee.
A funeral service will take place at 3pm on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Sosebee Mortuary South Chapel.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at the South Chapel from 2pm to 3pm on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.
The family will be at the home of her son Jeff.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
