Andrew Alan “Pop” Argo, 69, was welcomed by his son and mom at the Golden Gates today, October 29th, 2026. Andrew was a lifelong Clemson Tiger fan who loved to be outside at the lake grilling steaks and burgers for his family. He loved and cherished his wife, children, and grandchildren very much. He welcomed all into his home. He was the gentlest soul ever. He didn’t know how to sit down and believed that every person should be wearing socks on their feet in the winter when they were in his home.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Tammy Argo, his daughters Kayla Argo (Mario), Nikki Argo-Wilkins, Angel Webb (Wesley) and Cassie Higginbotham, his grandchildren Bennett, Lilyana (Bryleigh), Zoie, Jarvis, Kylynn, Landon, Karlie, Antonio and Xavier, his sisters Reesa (Dieter), Billi, Christi (Allen), Paula and Michelle, his brother Frank “Hootie” Hatten, and many nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, William “Bill” Argo and Carol “Mer” Argo, his son, Andrew “Drew” Argo, his sister-in-law, Shelby Kemp, his nieces, Jessica and Tiffany and nephews, Travis and Nathan.
The family would like to thank the nurses and chaplain at Hospice of the Upstate for guiding us in our time of need.
The family will host a celebration of life at 4pm on Friday November 6th, 2026, at the Sosebee Mortuary Chapel.
The family will be in their respective homes.
