Annette C. Crocker, ‘Ann’, 82, of Anderson, SC, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 10, 2015 surrounded by her children.
Born in Anderson, SC, on October 11, 1932, she was the daughter of the late William and Louise Martin Cathey and was married to the late Johnny Crocker. Ann was a member of Wellington Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by her children: Herbie C. Sosebee, Cathey Waters, Jim Sosebee, and George Wilbanks; grandchildren: Tommy, Scott, Kristie, Michael, Tiffany, Cathlin, John, Billie, Rob, Louise, Kim; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and her beloved bird ‘Baby’.
In addition to her parents and spouse; she is predeceased by a daughter Judy Sosebee Wilbanks; sisters: Edith ‘Sue’ Ornellas and Mary Thrasher Varner; brothers: William and Forest Cathey.
Services will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Wellington PH Church, officiated by Rev. Tony Smith and Rev. Sam Duncan. Private family entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Sosebee Mortuary, South Chapel, on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 from 6pm – 8pm.
The family will be at the home.
Per Ann’s request, please no flowers, she asked that memorials be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children – Greenville, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
