Arvetta Baskin Powell, 86, of Anderson, SC passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Rainey Hospice House.

Born in Iva, SC on March 13, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Willie Pat and Zelma Dickerson Baskin and was married to her husband of over 46 years, the late Ralph C. Powell. Arvetta was a member of Eureka Baptist Church and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She is survived by her children: Ronnie Powell (Jayne), Melvin Powell (Cindy), and Joel Powell (Michelle); seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband; she is also predeceased by three brothers and three sisters.

Services will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Eureka Baptist Church at 2pm officiated by Rev. Michael Harvell and Rev. Ronnie Powell.

Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday at the Church from 12:30pm – 2:00pm.
