Barbara McLane Odom, 85, of Belton SC, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.
Born in Anderson SC, on June 9, 1938, the daughter of the late Dewey Lee McLane and Jessie Mae McLane; she was an old-time singer/songwriter, minister and was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.
She is survived by her sons: Wally Odom (Rhonda) and Mark Odom; daughter: Joan Chastain (Wade); 15 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a daughter: Kelly Odom and her brothers: Douglas McLane, Tommy McLane, Herbert McLane, Roger McLane and Dewey Ray McLane.
A funeral service will be held at Sosebee Mortuary South Chapel on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 2pm with Pastor Wally Odom officiating.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at the South Chapel on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 1pm to 2pm.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
