Billy Ray Waters, 76, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015.
Born in Spartanburg SC, he was the son of the late Boyce L. and Dorthula Porter Waters. He was a professional photographer, attended NY School of Photography, retired from Orian Rugs in Anderson and was a Veteran of the US Navy with an honorable discharge, serving on the USS Saratoga.
He is survived by daughters: Cindy Waters Broome (Jim) and Susan Waters Hudgins (David); sister Margaret Gravely; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is also predeceased by his brothers: Melvin Waters, Bunny Waters, and John Waters.
Funeral services will be held at Sosebee Mortuary, South Chapel, on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 6pm, with military honors. Burial will be at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5pm- 6pm, one hour prior to the service at the Mortuary.
The family will be at their respective homes and ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the National Military Association-www.militaryfamily.org.
