Bobbie Carol Sloan Thrasher, 93, of Iva, SC, passed peacefully at her home on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.
Born on November 14, 1931, the daughter of the late Guy Sloan and Gladys Stephens Sloan; she was the wife to the late Heyward Thrasher. Bobbie loved being in church, singing and would pray for anyone and everyone.
She is survived by her children: Lewis Heyward Thrasher, David Ron Thrasher (Alma L.), Timothy Ray Thrasher (Michelle L.), and Dorothy Faye McCoy (Kenneth); brother: Joel Sloan and Thomas Sloan; sisters: Ruby Greene and Judy Kelley; 12 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and spouse, she is predeceased by a brother: Steve Sloan; sisters: Guynell King, Doris Rogers and Louise Fennel as well as a daughter in law: Agnes Lollis Thrasher.
A funeral service will be held at Sosebee Mortuary on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 11am. A private burial will follow the service.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at the Mortuary on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 10am to 11am.
The family will be at their respective homes.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
