Brian Randy Merritt, 46, of Anderson SC, passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2018.
Born in Richland County, SC, on June 26, 1972, he was the son of the late Randy and Sybil Merritt and the husband to Jodi Merritt. He was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Temple, a former mechanic at West Point Stevens, then a truck driver and equipment operator for Anderson County until he was disabled.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Kyle Merritt (Cassidy); brother, Brad Merritt (Amy); grandson, Waylon Merritt, 2 nephews, Jacob and Wyatt Merritt; aunts: Connie McCullough, Patsy Cox and Brenda Hawkins; uncles: Woody Crooks and Troy Crooks Jr.
Funeral services will be held at Gethsemane Baptist Temple on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 4pm with Rev Sam Duncan officiating.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at the church from 3pm to 4pm.
