Carole Moore Scott, 81, resident of Wesley Commons, widow of Fred Scott and survivor of Edward L. Quinn, III, the father of her four daughters, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Wesley Commons Assisted Living Facility.
Born January 28, 1943, in Wilson, NC, Carole was daughter of the late Benjamin Simms Moore and Ava Jane Sasser Nash.
To know Carole was to be certain to see and hear about Jesus as her Lord and Savior, one available to all. She most recently attended Siloam Baptist Church and loved the ladies in the TEL Sunday School Class; she also enjoyed many years of fellowship at Ninety-Six Church of God.
Surviving are Carole’s four daughters, Jeanne (Jerry) Higby of Stuart, FL, Cathy Quinn of Zephyrhills, FL, Amy (Mike) Hilley of Ninety-Six, SC and Sherry Quinn of Greenwood, SC; five grandchildren, Jeff Quinn, Erin Neylan, Michael Hilley, Marilyn Hilley, and Courtney Cogburn; and seven great-grandchildren.
Carole’s daughters would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of the Wesley Commons Health and Rehabilitation Center and the Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont for their love and care of their Mother as they helped maintain her dignity as she dealt with dementia the past few years.
The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date. The daughters can be contacted at their respective homes.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont located at 408 W. Alexander Ave., Greenwood, SC, 29646.
