Clayton “Bruce” Wilbanks, 61, of Anderson SC, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at his residence.
Born in Anderson SC, on August 8, 1965, he was the son of the late Coy Gene Wilbanks and Ima Jean Rice. Clayton loved spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed NASCAR races, taking trips to the mountains with his wife, Linda, and cherishing time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Linda C. Volrath; daughter at heart: Alisha Volrath (B.J. Cook); brother: Frankie Wilbanks; grandson: Grant Harbin (Marisa); great-grandchildren: Paislyn, Portlyn and Pruitt Harbin.
A funeral service will be held at Sosebee Mortuary on Friday, September 11, 2026, with Pastor Jerry Gray officiating. A private burial will take place at Old Silverbrook Cemetery.
The family will be at the residence.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
