Danny Richey, ‘Poor Boy’, 69, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025 at Emory Midtown Hospital, Atlanta, GA.
Born in Anderson, SC, on October 16, 1956, he was the son of the late Walter and Grace Parris Richey and was married to the late Nancy Gail Richey for 48 years.
Danny was the founder and owner of L.A. Rollcages and loved to ride horses. He worked at J and J Restaurant, Anderson School District 3, and retired from the City of Anderson.
He is survived by his son, Jason D. Richey (Candice); four brothers; four sisters; five granddaughters; one grandson; and seven great- grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is also predeceased by a son, Scottie Richey; one brother; and three sisters.
Services will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 2pm in the Chapel of Sosebee Mortuary officiated by Pastor Phil Sears. Burial will follow at South Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at Sosebee Mortuary from 6pm-8pm.
The family will be at the home of his son and daughter in law, Jason and Candice Richey.
Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
