Delores Godfrey Burns, 77, of Anderson, SC passed away on Friday, November 22, 2014 at her residence.
Born in Blue Ridge, GA, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Bertha Nicholson Godfrey. She was a homemaker and a member of Crosshill Church of God.
She is survived by her husband of over 61 years, Kenneth Lee Burns; sons: Rusty, Tim, and Larry (Misty) Burns; daughters: Vicky Dyar (Reuben), Brenda Burns, and Donna Chastain (Dennis); 16 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents; she is also predeceased by a son Terry Burns; 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Services will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 officiated by Rev. John A. Christmas and Scott A. Burdette at Sosebee Mortuary, South Chapel. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will be at the home of grandson Eric and Rica Burns and will receive friends at the Mortuary on Monday, November 24, 2014 from 6pm-8pm.
