Donnie Ray Brown, 72, of Starr, SC, passed away at Rainey Hospice House on March 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
He was predeceased by his parents, Clifford and Geneva Brown, and his sister, Barbara Martin.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Linda Clark Brown, and his son, Daniel Brown of Anderson, SC. Also mourning his loss are his beloved furbaby, Charlie Brown, and his cherished grand-furbabies, Cyrus Citation and Gabby Brown. Donnie shared a special bond with his cousin, Jimmy Brown, whom he considered a brother.
Donnie dedicated 33 years of service to Michelin Sandy Springs. He never met a stranger—by the time he finished a conversation, he knew everything about them. He found joy in walking the pastures with Charlie, and he was always the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His wisdom, kindness, and generosity will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
The family extends their deepest appreciation to close relatives and friends for their unwavering support and kindness during this difficult time. They are especially grateful to Rainey Hospice for their compassionate care and offer a heartfelt thank you to his cousins, Beverly and Kristian Lemere, for their love and support.
In accordance with Donnie’s wishes, no formal service will be held; a private memorial will be arranged at a later date.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
