Dorothy “Dot” Mitchell, 95, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026.
Born in Anderson on April 1, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Mae Chambers and wife to the late Curtis Mitchell.
Dot is survived by her Children: David Mitchell (Linda), Judy Swaney (Ernie), Danny Mitchell (Beth), Janie Bright (Donald), Mike Mitchell (Leslie) and Mark Mitchell (Mitzi); as well as 13 Grandchildren, 24 Great-grandchildren and 18 Great-Great Grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her two brothers and three sisters.
A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Thursday April 23, 2026, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
