Elizabeth “Lulu” Bowen, 74, of Anderson, SC, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, September 6, 2014.
Born on May 8, 1940 in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Grady and Vinela Gunter and wife to Thomas Bowen.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her Daughter; Patricia Chitwood, Sons; Thomas Bowen Jr, Joseph Richard Bowen and wife Kelly Bowen, and Timothy Bowen Sr. and wife Janice Bowen, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also a special thanks to her granddaughter, Kayla Diane Tilley, for giving special care to Mrs. Bowen.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother; Grady L. Gunter Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 7p.m. on Wednesday September 10, 2014 at the Sosebee Mortuary South Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5p.m. to 7p.m. on Wednesday.
