Essie Dafalee Whitfield September 11, 1930 - March 11, 2022

Essie Dafalee Crumpton Whitfield (Peggy), 91, of Anderson, SC, passed away on March 11, 2022.

Born in Anderson, SC, on September 11, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Robert Otis Crumpton and Pearlie Morgan Crumpton and wife to the late Chevis Lawrence Whitfield.

Essie was retired from Rexall Drugs and the Little General Service Station. She loved camping, travel, animals, and all beautiful things.

She is survived by her Sister: Brenda Decker; Grandson: Charles Whitfield (Amy); Daughter-in-law: Merry Suzette Whitfield; Nieces: Kimbel Melissa Green, Debbie Hudson, Janice West, Tebrea Colbert, Danyel Bolding; as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her Son: Chevis Lamar Whitfield; Brothers: Rudolph Crumpton and Veldee Crumpton; Sisters: Ann West, Betty Jean Smith, and Marion Smith.
