Evelyn T Jones, 82, of Anderson, SC passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
She was the daughter of the late Sampson and Winnie Whitmire Thomas and the wife to James C Jones Sr. Evelyn worked in textiles and upon retirement worked at White Jones Hardware.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by son: Jimmy Jones (Sandra); daughters: Peggy Autry (Chuck), Deborah Forrester, and Tami Pinson; sisters: Nell Kirkland (Henry) and Barbara Thomas; grandchildren: Michael, Jamie, Donna, Brittany, Paul, Leslie, Kasey, and Tony; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 11am at Sosebee Mortuary, Downtown Chapel and will be officiated by Reverend James Strickland. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 5pm – 7pm at the Downtown Chapel. Burial will follow the service at New Silverbrook Cemetery.
The family will be at the residence.
