Frankie Leroy Powell, 84, of Starr, SC, passed away at his residence on Thursday, February 9, 2017.
Born in Anderson, SC, on October 1, 1932; he was married to the late Ila Mae Powell. He was a veteran of the US Navy.
He is survived by his children: Jan Trotter (Mike), Gary Powell (Christi), Donna Jewell (Melvin), and Eric Powell; brother Norman Powell (Wilma) ; 9 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is also predeceased by a brother Thurman Powell.
Services will be held at Unity Baptist Church on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 12 noon officiated by Rev. Rudy Gray and Rev. Roger Kindrick. Burial will follow at New Silverbrook Cemetery.
The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at the church prior to the service on Saturday from 10:30 am – 12 noon.
