Furman “Ted” Cummings, 69, of Belton, SC, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024.
Born in Anderson SC, on August 29, 1954; he was the son of Barbara Bannister Hanley and the late Furman McIlwain Cummings. Ted was loved by everyone, his favorite past time was fishing, he was a great cook, avid basesball player and loved to read.
He is survived by his children: Jay Cummings (Hope), Amanda Cummings and Charles Tyler Cummings; sisters: Karen Cummings Hendrix (Larry), Sharon Barry (Cris) and Cherokee Moore; grandchildren: Polly and Dylan Cummings.
A memorial service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Dorchester Baptist Church, 134 Dorchester Road Belton, SC 29627; with his brother-in-law Larry Hendrix officiating.
A time of visitation will be held prior to the service at the church on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 10am to 11am.
The family will be at the home of his sister and brother-in-law: Sharon and Cris Barry at 300 Paddock Road Anderson SC.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
