Gedra Rainwater June 3, 1929 - July 6, 2023

Gedra M. Rainwater, 94, of Starr, SC, passed away on July 6, 2023.

Born on June 3, 1929, in Hazard, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Mila Carroll and was married for over 72 years to her late husband, Claude Rainwater.

She is survived by her Daughters: Claudette Cribbet and Darlene Clark (James); Son: Randall Rainwater (Mara): Grandchildren: Todd Cribbet, Lisa Kirk (Chris), Chris Clark (Robin), Ryan Clark (Ryenna) and Elijah Rainwater; and Great-grandchildren: Katie and Drake Kirk, Cassidy and Allie Clark, and Lennox and Axel Clark.

In addition to her husband and parents, Gedra is preceded in death by her Great-grandchild, Jude Clark, as well as her brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Saturday July 15, 2023, at the Sosebee Mortuary South Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12pm to 1pm, Saturday, prior to the service at the Mortuary. Internment will take place at the MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
