Glen Jerome Hanley, 78, of Belton, SC passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at his residence.

Born on November 16, 1940 he was the son of the late Howard Pinckney Hanley and Sula Jane Magaha Hanley McClain and the husband to Doris Moon Hanley. Jerome worked in textiles and was a member of Chiquola Baptist Church where he helped build handicap ramps for the community. He also enjoyed spending time woodworking, fishing, playing Santa, and doing carpentry.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son: Steven Michael “Mike” Hanley (Lisa), daughters: Pamela Hanley Tyner (Mark) and Sharon Hanley Taylor (Ricky); brother: Howard Arthur Hanley; grandchildren: Danielle Taylor Mitchell (Joey), Jamie Tyner (Kacie), Andrew Taylor (Ashley), Melissa Hanley, and Souther Shaw; and great grandchildren: Rayna Mitchell, Raegen Mitchell, Remi Tyner, and one on the way, Paisley Taylor.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings: Robert, Harold, LT, Tootsie, Mildred, Edna, Lois, and a great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 3pm on Wednesday September 11, 2019 at Chiquola Baptist Church and will be officiated by Reverend Ronnie Powell. Private burial will be held at Garden of Memories.

Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1pm – 3pm, at the church.

The family will be at the residence.

Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory, South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
