Glenn H Barr, 79, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born in Birmingham, AL, he was the son of the late Trolan Jack Barr and the late Alma Churchwell Barr, and was the husband to Sylvia Holcombe Barr. Glenn served in the US Air Force, was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and served with the Campbell Patriots.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Glenn H Barr Jr, Donna Luna, Patricia Skeen (Chuck), Cheri Ivaski (Ken), Nicole Westmoreland (Randy), and Lynn Daley (Bob); brother: Paschal Barr (Doris); sister: Donor Barr; 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son: Terry W Barr.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 3pm at Shiloh Baptist Church and will be officiated by Reverend John Davis, where he will receive military honors by Campbell Patriots. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2pm to 3pm at the church. An internment will be held at MJ Dolly Cooper Veteran Cemetery at a later date.
