On Wednesday, May 6, 2020, Gordon Harrison Davis, loving husband and father of two children passed away at the age of 92.
Gordon was born in Pelzer, South Carolina on October 13, 1927 to Mr. and Mrs. James Gordon Davis. Gordon was a 26-year military veteran and served in the US Army, the US Navy and the US Air Force. He retired from the US Air Force on August 1, 1972. Gordon was a Mason and a member of the North Anderson Baptist Church.
Gordon is survived by his beloved wife Gladys. The couple have been married for 67 years. He is also survived by two sons Gordon Davis Jr of Boone, Iowa and Reggie Davis of Phoenix, Arizona, six grandchildren Lindsey Triplett, Jason Davis, Rachel Ellefson, Morgan Davis, Zachary Davis, and Addie Davis and two great grandchildren.
Gordon loved to sing Hank Williams songs in his truck, spend time with his grandkids, and travel with his wife Gladys. He was loved by all and was a treasured friend to many.
A private service will be held. The family has requested donations to the Shriner’s Children Hospital at donate.lovetotherescue.org in lieu of flowers.
