Guy W. Drawdy, 66, of Iva, SC passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Rainey Hospice House surrounded by his family.
Born in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Guy S and Sula Mae Drawdy, and the spouse to Jean Young Drawdy.
He was a member of Rock of Salvation Church, ordained into the Lord’s ministry in 2013, and was a Veteran of the US Army, having served in the Vietnam War.
In addition to his spouse, he is survived by daughters: Mrs. Cindy Hopkins (Ronnie) of Anderson, SC; Mrs. Amanda Daugherty (Jim) of Pawley’s Island, SC; brothers: Robbie Drawdy (Janice) of Malone, Fla; Timmy Drawdy (Frankie) of Anderson, SC, and Wayne Drawdy of McCormick, SC; and granddaughter: Ashley Lytton Burdette (Peyton) of Anderson, SC.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a daughter: Tonya Elaine Drawdy.
Visitation will be held at Sosebee Mortuary South Chapel on Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 4pm to 6pm.
Funeral services will be held at the Mortuary on Monday, September 14, 2015 at 1pm with Rev. Ricky Posey and Rev. Johnny Vickery officiating. Burial will follow at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors.
