Irene Souther Jordan, 88, of Anderson SC, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Flowery Branch, Ga, she is the daughter of Garland Souther and Pernia Hatcher Heaton, she was the spouse to the late Mason Jordan.
She is survived by her son: Frank Brown (Tetyana), brother: Charles Souther, sisters: Lois Lollis, Barbara Lindsay, and Maggie Powell; grandchildren: Maria Bowen (Chuck), Mason Brown (Nicole) and 5 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and spouse, she is predeceased by 2 sisters: Elizabeth Teate, Louise Prince, and Peggy Scott; and brother Gerald Souther.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at the Sosebee Mortuary Downtown Chapel at 11:00am, officiated by Rev. Royce Addis. Burial will follow at MJ Dolly Copper Veterans Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 6pm to 8pm at the Downtown Chapel.
The family will be at the home of her son, Frank Brown.
