Jack Miles Butts, 88, of Anderson, SC 29625 passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016 in Anderson, SC.
Born in Walhalla, SC on February 12, 1928 he was the husband to Geraldine Hunter Butts. He was retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas, a member of Varennes Heights Baptist Church, and a WWII Navy Veteran where he was awarded The Purple Heart.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by son: Jerry Butts (Lane); daughter: Terri Moore of Corpus Christie, TX; step-son: Dean Hunter; step-daughters: Jean Autry and Candice Taylor; 10 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife: Margie Butts.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 2pm at Varennes Heights Baptist Church, Anderson, SC and will be officiated by Doctor Kirt Mitchell and Reverend Rick Taylor. The family will receive friends from 6pm – 8pm on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Sosebee Mortuary, South Chapel. A private burial will take place following the service.
The family will be at the home.
