James C. Hanks Jr. ‘CJ’, 76, of Anderson, SC passed away on April 19, 2014 at Hospice of the Upstate.
He was born in Anderson, SC to the late Cecil James Hanks Sr. and Alda Lecroy Hanks. He was a retired Deputy Sherriff of Anderson County and a member of House of Prayer.
He is survived by his children: Brad Hanks, Joanna Hitchcock, Tracy Connor, and Christy Cheek; brother: Glenn Hanks, sister: Joann Fortune, 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 6pm on Saturday, April 26, 2014 officiated by Brother Mike Harrell and Rev. Jerry Nation at House of Prayer, 1305 Evergreen St, Anderson, SC. Visitation will follow the service.
The family will be at the respective homes and CJ’s ashes will remain at the home of his daughter Joanna Hitchcock.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel assisted the family.
