Janie Harris Dickson May 1, 1935 - December 18, 2023

Janie Harris Dickson, 88, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Monday December 18, 2023, at her home.

Born on May 1, 1935, in Westminster, SC, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Mary Harris and was the wife of the late Julian Dickson. Janie was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Anderson, SC.

She is survived by her sons: David Dickson (Judy), Edward Dickson (Jackie), and Roger Dickson (Jocelyn); grandchildren: Jordyn Dickson, Jorgia Dickson, Joddey Dickson, Jossie Hester, Jeremy Dickson (Jessica), Matthew Dickson, Ashley Dickson, Anna Crenshaw (Brian), Alyssa Dickson, Andrew Dickson, and Whitney Brown (Simms); 11 great-grandchildren; and her caregiver whom we are all grateful for: Kathy Raines.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her grandson: Michael Dickson.

Funeral services will be held at Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at 12pm officiated by Pastor Ken Whitt. A burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be held prior to the service on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at the South Chapel from 11am to 12pm.

The family will be at the residence.
