Jannie Ruff Myers Parrish of Mount Willing Road, Batesburg died Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at LMC Extended Care in Lexington, SC.
Born July 9th, 1928 in Saluda, she was the daughter of the late George and Roxie Berry Myers. She was retired from the Saluda Shirt Company and a member of Nazareth United Methodist Church.
She is survived by three daughters: Shirley Ann Hope, Virginia Parrish-Loy, and Frances Jane Parrish, one sister: Georgia Mae Hamer, nine grandchildren: John Loy, Laura Smith, Christina Grinnell, Amanda Dale, Kelly Temple, Patricia Lawson, Erik Johnson, Paul Koon, and Kathleen Noordhuizen, and fifteen great-grandchildren: Oleva Durant and Joshua Loy, Hudson Smith, Joel Lenz and Kimberly Ring, Caroline, Courtney, and Daniel Dale, Rachel, Elizabeth, Barbara, and Katricia-Ann Temple, Catherine Adams, Thomas Koon, and Penelope Noordhuizen.
She was predeceased by her husband, Hudson Kelly Parrish, one daughter: Linda Elaine Lawson and four brothers: Davis, DeWitt, Walter Merritt, and Otis Myers.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday January, 22nd at 3:00pm at Nazareth United Methodist Church in Leesville with the Reverend Paul Cheezem officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Nazareth United Methodist Church Building Fund 3139 Spann Road, Leesville, SC 29070.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory, South Chapel, assisted the family with arrangements.
